I'm back in Steamboat, my home for the next 5 months.
I've officially been back in the U.S. for a week now and it has been one of the longest weeks of my life. I did not anticipate how difficult and awkward this transition would be. The past week has brought many mixed emotions. Yesterday was full of low points and Tobias suggested a bike ride to a nearby park. I was hesitant at first, my bike does not have the best tires for ice, but eventually caved in (the park is not too far). The cold air and spacious landscape provided me with some stillness that helped to put my mind at ease.
If you are reading this, thank you for sticking around throughout my unintentional hiatus. I plan on providing this blog with new content and posts in the very near future. When I am ready I will share my photos and stories from my time in Indonesia. Meanwhile, I shall focus my energy on deciding how I want this space to look and feel.

P.S. Isn't our fireplace so cute?! On my yoga mat, in front of the window, next to the fireplace has been my new favorite spot.
Totally know the feeling of 'coming home' from an international trip. I usually experience a mix of jet-lag, culture-shock, and frustration about both wanting to tell everyone every detail about your trip and not wanting (or knowing how) to share any of it. I am looking forward to seeing photos though! xx
